Dr. Staci Bain President, The Reading League Washington

Staci Bain, Ed.D., has been a teacher, principal, executive director, university faculty member, and author of professional learning content for districts and state departments. Her book, Thrive: Teaching with Virtual and Reading Science Best-Practices, offers guidance on how to align research based online learning and onsite literacy instructional methods. She serves as a board member of the International Dyslexia Association (WA, ID, MT, and Canada) to help educators and families understand effective literacy instruction and is President of The Reading League Washington. Dr. Bain is the co-founder of EDUCATE America, an company that exists to bridge Science of Reading research and effective tier one instructional practices in K-8 schools. Tier one is a target-rich opportunity to teach scholars how to read, spell, write, and communicate.
