Teachers most often cited dissatisfaction with their principal as the primary reason they left a school, according to a recent report from the Connecticut Center for School Change. The study looked at 42 teachers who no longer worked at 12 Connecticut schools, half with high attrition and half with low. Involuntary transfer, promotion and family responsibilities also ranked as important reasons for attrition.
