Nevada residents can now buy their teachers the ultimate gift: a paycheck.

Jim Gibbons, scrambling to make up for a budget deficit of almost $900 million, unveiled a program earlier this month to solicit charitable donations to pay for teachers' salaries. The "Education Gift Certificate Program" makes it possible for Nevadans to donate directly into a fund earmarked for teachers' salaries.

Donations can be made at all Nevada Department of Motor Vehicle locations.
