You've got to applaud National Louis University's hipness — it's offered a discount on an entry-level graduate course in education through Groupon, taking the price down from $2,132 to only $950.  What a deal!  We advise prospective purchasers to see if they can negotiate an even steeper price cut by declining to pay for the course sessions that deal with "developing a personal approach to teaching."  The money saved could go towards buying some really useful stuff to help prepare for a teaching career in which you don't have to reinvent too many wheels — for instance, Teach Like a Champion and anything else Doug Lemov has had a hand in producing.
