Chester E. Finn, Jr.
Chester E. Finn, Jr. is distinguished senior fellow and president emeritus of the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and Volker Senior Fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution as well as a contributing editor of EducationNext. In his distinguished career, Dr. Finn has also served as Professor of Education and Public Policy at Vanderbilt University, Assistant Secretary for Research and Improvement at the U.S. Department of Education, Counselor to the U.S. Ambassador to India, and Legislative Director for Senator Daniel P. Moynihan. He is the author of multiple books and hundreds of articles.
