Abigail Swisher is Director of Policy and Programs at NCTQ. Prior to joining NCTQ, Abigail served in education policy roles at the local, state, and national levels, including roles with New America, the Aspen Institute, and others. Outside of her work in policy, Abigail is a passionate education organizer, contributing to winning campaigns to increase education funding for Baltimore City Schools, pass the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, and more. She began her career as a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Granville County, North Carolina. Abigail holds a BA in Psychology from Goucher College, and a Certificate in Middle Grades Education from East Carolina University.
