After 35 years on the job, the president of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), David Imig, has announced his retirement. Imig is headed to a ?post-retirement sabbatical? at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Imig?s departure is somewhat clouded due to his questionable methods in seeking to discredit the American Board teacher certification exams. Last year, Imig surreptitiously obtained and disseminated test questions to persons attending a Carnegie work group meeting. Apparently, unfazed by his actions, they offered him a job.
