At its annual meeting last February AACTE convened a task force to look into merging the industry's two credentialing bodies--NCATE and TEAC. While the final decision won't be out until May, we wonder if this a sincere attempt to get the two rival organizations to kiss and make up or a smart strategy to get stubborn TEAC to go away. Should the merger be approved, we're betting TEAC's David will be swallowed by NCATE's Goliath in one fell swoop.
